This time home has been a booze and recording fueled dream and it has been glorious. I have 5 songs for a new EP awaiting vocals, I plan to premier all these new songs on my blog over the course of a week, if you liked the older stuff you may not be as into this, less southern rock more spacey indie, I just went with what I was feeling, the new acoustic and the MXR carbon copy just opened up some doors for me. I’m super stoked on our touring schedule i’m so ready to go out again in december and get to finish out that tour looking at a month off in Febuary. Anyway get ready for new tunes.

its been three straight days of hard drinking and I have to say i’ve missed it. My muscles ache my neck feels weird and I don’t neccessarily remember getting back from the bar however I enjoyed myself. did a demo of a new tune called “Lawrence Oates” its mediocre but i’m hoping it will get better. its nap time, i’m out.

good evening MR. TUMBLR i’m probably to drun k to mbe posting here in the first place but i’m gonna do it anyway because this is reality, sometimes you get drunk an dwrite things on the internet, tonight the stars aligned and the good folks of west chester were brought together in the steel driving town of Pittsburgh, PA. tonight by coincedence the fine folks of The Color Fred and Backwods Payback and I were brought together in a beautiful moment of rock n roll at the 31st st pub in pittsburgh pa. I had 9 makers and cokes and i barely knowm y own name right now. Nothing is more beautiful than real music from your own state, fuck NY, fuck Cali, fuck everyone. Pennsylvania is in my heart and I will never leave.

I’m so happy to welcome, my main man, little Bronx Mowgli Wentz into this crazy world of ours. Congrats to Petey and Ash. I’ve been so stoked about this ever since i found out Ash had a bun in the oven. You know Uncle Travie had to make sure Bronx ‘s swagger was on a hundred, thousand, TRILLION from day one, SO, i took it upon myself to make sure I was the first one to get him his 1st pair of J’s. I couldnt help my self so i got him a couple pairs of AF1’s with matching Bib’s. Wholly moley this little fucker is gonna be spoiled rotten if I have anything to do with it……Damn, I can’t wait to make a little pal for him to play with ;)

So i was home this week and I went to go see my boys The Academy Is. play at Roseland Ballroom.. Sisky Bizness.. Love those guys to death. The show was sick later that night me and Dejesus rolled to the Bowery Hotel to see our friend Quang who was visiting from L.A. He had a lovely little party going on in his suite.. So were in there talking to this very entertaining person who is entertaining do to whatever substance he/she injested and sitting on the couch is the ever so cute Kirsten Dunst. Coooool..  lol

The next night i went to go hang with Shwayze and Cisco at the Blender Theater those are dudes are  cool as hell too. Big shouts to Miss Lauren as also..  This week was pretty wild now im in Pittsburgh for a GCH college show tommorow.. HOLLAAA!!!

Oooo also.. We finished shooting my video.. Got all my cool cameos in : )..

THE INNOVATOR. Alot of people complain about AUTOTUNE without knowing the origins of the sound. Of course its a PRO TOOLS plug-in now but when the TALKBOX was used by the likes of ROGER TROUTMAN, STEVIE WONDER, PETER FRAMPTON and TEDDY RILEY the sound was so outrageous and fresh.

I feel less and less like posting here lately, even I grow bored of talking about everything I hate. 

I bought the most expensive guitar i’ve ever bought in my life two days ago and it sounds amazing, a Martin 0016G.

My girlfriends job is making her dress cowboy like for a work meeting, I can’t believe people still think things like this are cool or enjoyable for anyone working in the corporate world.

My IPOD is currently full I only listen to Bright Eyes and Ryan Adams, music is letting me down. 

It does not look as thought time will allow for Whiskeyhammer to be finished this break maybe next time.

This happened at OUR show at the Key Club in LA this last week. Teddy Pain came through for the showe and blessed the crowd with an impromptu performance of CAN’T BELIEVE IT. I was side stage in awe. So fucking talented.

I had the opportunity to peep Kehinde Wiley’s new show in soho, from outside unfortunately, My Boys, The Twinjamins, Dee and Ricky styled the models for the pieces and are also featured in a couple paintings along with my ace lil’ Swiz. Keheinde is a beast, the pieces are ENORMOUS!! Hopefully i’ll be cool enough one day to have one made of ME!! THUGNIFICENCE!!!

We are currently sitting in the dressing rooms at NBC waiting to perform on Jay Leno. The day has been pretty good and rehearsal sounded amazing hopefully that will translate to the television.

I’ve been listening to the Whiskeyhammer demos and shit is going to be awesome so long as i’m afforded the the time to get shit cracking.

I had a somewhat odd expierience the other night, I was out at the bar and like anytime i’m out at the bar I decided to play a little Slayer on the jukebox. I do this because…

1. I thouroughly enjoy Slayer

2. It simultaneously pisses off: dumb bar skanks, Old degenerate alcoholics and douchebag latent frat boys or i.e the majority of the people that live in my backward ass town.

at one point or another the fucking idiot bitch bartender decided she was gonna skip my Slayer songs and I was left sitting through some horrible butt rock garbage because some of the patrons found it “offensive”….HEY! Tyler James Pub in Phoenixville,PA go fuck yourself….if you don’t want people to play Slayer don’t have an internet jukebox where people can play real music, get one of the old CD jawns and just keep the nickelback catalog in their and all of your fucking worthless asshole customers will be satisfied, after all ignorance is bliss isn’t it?

This got me thinking about the town where i’m currently living…

I’ve always loved and supported living in the suburbs but as of late i’m coming to understand why a lot of people move into bigger cities, i’ve lived in different parts of the Philly burbs my entire life and hate the majority of the people I encounter, I live in a town now called Phoenixville which is basically a dog turd someone spray painted gold. My friends and I were able to open our record store and thats prety cool but otherwise this town is a waste of fucking time, Phoenixville, PA has been a shithole ghetto since the 60’s and only recently has it been developing and becoming “cool” for lack of a better term. There are some nice restaurants and bars but the clientele is still just as shitty as it ever was, maybe i’m being a pompous asshole but I really don’t care. They are trying to make it an “Arts And Entertainment” town but what it is in fact is nothing like that, The shit the people here try to pass off as “Art” is hot fucking garbage and as for “Entertainment” we have over priced bullshit bars showcasing whatever hack ass horrible fucking cover band is hot at the moment, god forbid an “Artistic” band with some integrity would actually play a show here, oh WAIT they can’t because none of these bars would ever book them,  the few shows they do a year at the one large venue in town (The Colonial) are limited to awful fucking tribute bands or some kind of bullshit celtic music that the wine and cheese yuppie assholes can enjoy. We’ve tried our best to give ths town some kind of independent scene musically and were still working at it but honestly the kids of today are just as at fault as the people running the town, kids don’t reallly like music anymore, they go to shows specifically to get fucked up and act like fucking jerk offs. You can call me an elitist asshole I guess, but i’m right. I guess no great music scene ever started with welcoming open arms, people had to fight for their shit and maybe its time to shake some shit up.

I’ve been a neglectful blogger lately, life has been crazy.

I started work on yet another new musical project this last time I was home. The new project is called Whiskeyhammer, it is ripping 70’s style rock and roll with a ballad thrown in for good measure. Hopefully my buddy Mike from a little band called Backwoods Payback will be lending his gnarly whiskey soaked vocals to the recording after which it will be made available for free download.

In other news Gym Class will be doing Leno tommorow for he 3rd time, get stoked and watch me on TV.

Gallery 1988: Los Angeles and Clandestine Industries is proud to announce, “Without You I’m Just Me,” an art show featuring the work of Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) and Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes). The show will open December 9, 2009 with a public reception from 6-9 and a Friends and Family VIP reception from 9-11 PM. A portion of the proceeds from “Without You I’m Just Me” will benefit Invisible Children, a charity supplying funds and supplies to those in need in North Uganda.  

This exhibit will feature original artwork created by the musicians both together as collaboration, and individuals, as well as offering limited edition signed prints and a show catalogue. Wentz and McCoy spent a few weeks, living together and creating these collaborative pieces (mostly fueled by a mixed drink of Merlot and Sprite), while almost setting Pete’s house on fire. “One night I passed out only to wake up to flames at the foot of the bed,” Travis explained, “and Pete kneeling over one of the paintings with the most evil grin I’d ever seen the dude crack. The piece came out amazing to say the least.” The duo’s mixed media and graffiti inspired artwork touches on many personal subjects, ranging from the pitfalls of Hollywood to their friendship. Pete Wentz says of their friendship reflected in the work, “It’s weird. He’s like me but from the other side of Alice’s Mirror, and the work proves that.”  

Gallery 1988 has quickly become one of the world’s most talked about art galleries. Opened in 2004, the gallery has established a reputation as the place to see amazing artwork and be seen. Openings at the gallery have seen upwards of 1500 people attending in one night, including celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Jonah Hill, Nicole Richie, Good Charlotte, DJ AM, Paul Wall, She Wants Revenge, Samuel L.
