I’m sorry I don’t have the strength to type. My head is unraveling. This song is the only way for me to express were i’m at right now. I’ve been sick. Curled up in my bed. Stuck in Las Vegas. Fear and Loathing would be putting it lightly. I’ll be back…..

From Matt's Blog: ...Alive in Jersey.

So after some days rest, I’m back at home. Didn’t make it to El Paso, or even close. I turned out to not be such a hot bicyclist. But I got the experience I was looking for…Saw some great things, slept in the woods, climbed mountains on my bike, and got to hang with friends. I stepped outside of myself to try something I’ve never done, and for that I’m satisfied. Over the next few days I’ll post some more flicks as I unload them off my camera…Although the photos are unlikely to do the experience justice. Some stuff you just can’t capture on camera.

So i know im super late but whatever. I saw it in 3D and it was amazing. I can honestly say that i think Coraline was one the best movies ive ever seen. I was so taken away by the story and impressed by the creativity. The colors and concepts just blew my mind. If you havent seen it go out and do so. Tim Burton congrats!

From Travie's Blog: PROJECT:LAZARUS Day 5

I’m in LA. Grammy Fever,OOOOOOOOHWEEEEEEEE!!!!(Sarcasm) not gonna speak on any of it, i opted to spend the afternoon in my Hotel room writing instead of attending. This record is coming along great. TRIAL and ERROR.KEEPER’s and TOSSERS. I’m sifting through beats again, one of my favorite parts of the process. “MY BEST FRIENDS GIRL” with Dane Cook is keeping me company but i can’t help but to stop every 15 minutes or so and scream at the TV about how much this movie sucks and how not funny Dane Cook is.FUUUUUCK!!! NO PARTIES FOR TRAVIE and im completely content in my room in my underpants with my laptop with the heat turned up to UNBEARABLE, sorry about last night Sara and Nicole, I’ve figured out the climate control, This one’s INTENTIONAL. Alright back to work……….

From Travie's Blog: Open Happiness was created in the spirit of dedication and collaboration with artists and producers...

Open Happiness was created in the spirit of dedication and collaboration with artists and producers from across the US. It turned Coke’s famous “5-note tune” into a full length song. Butch Walker oversaw the recording of Travis McKoy and Brendon Urie in NYC, Cee-Lo and Janelle Monae in Atlanta, and Patrick Stump in LA. Butch Walker and Polow Da Don came together to mix multiple versions of the single, and add additional recordings. This continent-wide collaboration is now realized in Open Happiness.

  • Butch Walker

Butch Walker is man of many talents. Simply calling him a producer is an injustice that ignores his success as a songwriter, solo artist, and live act.

VERSE ONE

ahhh..ohhh
Well hello is this thing on
Is anybody listening
A brand new day has begun

The first thing that I want do
Make sure that you feel it too
So I’m not the only one

CHORUS

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

VERSE TWO

Ahem*Ahem* let me clear my throat
So you can hear clearly every word spoke
Today I woke feeling lovely
Happiness overflowin knowin somebody loves me
Just think yesterday I was down and out
Now there’s not a single thing for me to frown about
And the same thing can happen to you
Smiling so hard my mouth look like a capital U

VERSE THREE

I want the sun to shine
All the time
Is that too much to ask
Oh, I want to have some fun
I want all my friends to come
Cause it’s now or never
Learn the words and sign together

CHORUS REPEAT

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

BRIDGE

Your heart deserves your trust
A choice made for all of us
The sun will come back tomorrow
There’s a message in a bottle
So come on I’ll meet you there
There’s enough sunshine to share
As long as you know
The bridge between us is a rainbow

CHORUS REPEAT

Cmon lift me up (its a brand new day)
Open up a lil happiness today
So I can be someone new
Cmon and lift me up (to a better way)
Open up a smile on another face
So I can (feel something new)

Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness
Open up some happiness

From Tyler Pursel's Blog: Attn: Metallica Re: The Last Few Years

Dear Metallica,

My name is Tyler Pursel and i’m 25 years old, “Ride The Lightening” and “And Justice For All” were pretty important records to me when I was a young kid, I spent many days jumping on my friend erics couch playing hockeystick guitars to all the jams off those records. I kinda stuck by you guys even though my musical tastes changed over time. I hated Load and Reload just like everyone else and that you cut your hair but thought you might still be able to turn around….I was wrong….St. Anger is still one of the worst metal albums ever made and will be remembered only in small circles of recording enthusiasts like myself for having the absolute worst sounding snare drum ever. Your most unforgivable sin however is the film “Some Kind Of Monster” but seeing this pile of shit made me realize how truly lame and you have become over time, your probably only a few years away from being a sad lame version of yourself much like The Rolling Stones and all those other bands who won’t just call it quits. I’m not even saying you guys need to turn back into the alcoholic drug fueled mess you once were (though that is arguably when you made your best records) i’m just saying make some good fucking songs, we need more of “The Four Horsemen” or “Fight Fire With Fire”. What we DON’T NEED is to watch James Hetfield cry or watch Lars Ulrich sip champagne in the backroom of a Christy’s auction with a bunch of snobby assholes where he comes out selling is collection of stupid paintings for $3,000,000.00. You lost touch with every facet of your old selves and I think thats sad and that if you really want to help out the world with your music, simply retire. Thanks

From Travie's Blog: Back in in the M-I-YAY....

So, I’m back in Miami, locked up in The Hit Factory, working on what we’ll call THE LAZARUS PROJECT for now. Put one to bed last night, it’s called “Bad All BY Myself”. Just layed the most retarded hook ever for it 5 minutes ago. Last night i got a glimpse and realized why Pain is where he’s at. He’s AN ANIMAL. MARATHON STUDIO SESSIONS! 11am until 8 or 9 am the next day. I’m adjusting. I dipped out a little early(3am,which is real early on Pain clock, hahaha) to catch up on some well needed sleep after Play and Skillz Grammy party in Dallas a couple nights ago. The party was INTENSE. Bun-B, Slim Thugg, Paul Wall, Too-Short and Slim from 112 al came through and performed. Dejesus got some dope footage. Definatley a memorable one. Shout out to the homies Play and Skills for their Grammy Nom for “Got Money” off the Carter III album. Dallas shows them so much love and they give it right back. This record is shaping up to be that big glass of Lemonade you’ll need this summer when the heatwaves strike. I’m so proud and it’s only getting better everyday. stay tuned…..Thirst Buckets!!
